Here are a couple of recommendations I think you’ll really like.  Trumpet player John Bailey has a swinging new album, Time Bandits. With a killer rhythm section including (P) George Cables, (B) Scott Coley, and (D) Victor Lewis, you can’t go wrong.  Piano player David Ake, (composer, educator), has a very cool and laid back new album called Green Thumb. The rhythm section includes the wonderfully emotive sax playing of Tony Malaby, the Bass playing of one of the finest Bass players in Jazz, Boris Koslov, (also the leader of The Mingus Big Band), and the exquisite work of in demand drummer, Rudy Royston, (Alexa Tarantino’s Quartet).
